talent should play. I think Garrett plays scared and is a control freak but this is not the dominant o-line of the 90"s and Dallas should go no huddle more scheme better for o-line blocking,( maybe I mean get Sporano back and let Houck go).
It seems ONLY applicable when ESPN and NFL Network want to anoint some player and look past any and every Cowboy including Ware and Witten and especially when they talk about Romo even when his stats scream ELITE.
Detroit looks like it is in serious trouble. The city that is.
People are moving out in droves and parts of it look like a war zone, or a 3rd world area.
I wonder how much longer the city can make it, or if the team will eventually have to move due to a lack of a real fan base left.
Just thinking of a sold out Superdome is amazing to me.
That place is so huge, did they add a big screen for people to watch? From the top you can only see little colored dots running around.
I know, I saw a few football games there from up near the top when I was young. My mother got free leftover tickets sometimes.

Pic shows him sitting all alone in a luxury box at the Texans game. So they took a stab at the top reasons he was alone.
1. Three people in his row celebrated a Texans touchdown as a group; Goodell summarily suspended them.
2. Was bogarting the popcorn (see bright yellow arrow, in case it wasn’t clear enough).
3. George H.W. Bush had an ice luge in his luxury box.
4. Annoyed everyone by repeatedly reminding them that his signature is on the football.
5. Figured that a playoff game in Texas meant he was in Dallas and was waiting for Jerry Jones to show up.
The company employees were coming up to me every day asking what my new shirt said that day.
One of them has a Atari joystick on it and says “Old Skol”.
Lol, my cat is griping at me, she says it is past my bedtime.
She was really pissed at me last night for staying up so late. She came in and woke me up every 30 minutes to try and teach me a lesson. I threw her off the bed twice and she decided to quit.
I used to have a silly rabbit shirt, I only wore it around the house.
But I really loved it. To bad it finally wore completely out.
I couldn’t wear it out as it had a anti gay message that I found amusing. A friend of mine had the same shirt and wore it on her motorcycle. I was always afraid someone was going to run her off the road or hit her.
It was a little surprising how quietly the Lions went down against the Packers, Bears and Saints this year given that talent.
Calvin Johnson may be the first wr since Randy Moss I would describe as “impossible to defend”. A guy that tall and that strong should not be able to run that fast and catch the ball that well.
I am taking some classes for a promotion, but I have to get a 1 grade higher job for a year to be able to get the bigger job. So I am keeping a eye on openings. I am refusing to app for all the ones open in NJ and other places such as that.
I did live in D/FW for several years. In fact I graduated from L.D.Bell HS.
I had a friend at Trinity, we decided to piss everyone off and we switched letter jackets the week we played each other. And wore them to our schools. Lot of people weren’t amused.
But I doubt you want somebody like me. Just a recent high school grad with no real work experience. This damn economy, I can’t even find a job at Walmart :/
I’m not one to go much into my personal life on here, but it’s hard times right now. I’m an optimist though, so Ive got faith that I’ll get through it :)
There are good govt jobs that people have no idea are there. And they are fairly easy to qualify for.
For instance for the USDA you can go get a job at a slaughter house, after a year you can qualify as a meat inspector. You start at almost $40k a year, plus OT and great benefits.
There are a few jobs that start out at a GS 5, that is the grade all the inspectors are hired in as. But it is in a area they have trouble getting people to work in, so it is a auto promotion every year for 3-4 years.
1 just closed in Maine like that, there are some open in NJ, CA, etc. If you are willing to move you can get a job pretty quick.
They also pay a $8,000 signing bonus for high need areas. They also will move you. You have to stay a year, then you can put in for a transfer to anywhere.
Just make sure you can afford to live there if you pick somewhere like NJ or CA.
Here is the basic app for the job. You can select up to 5 areas you are willing to work in after you app, and take a short multi choice test. The test is easy after you work in a slaughter house and know what the inspectors do. https://my.usajobs.gov/GetJob/ViewDetails/2052124
Sure, save that link in case you decide to go for it later.
It will expire end of Sept usually, then they just repost a identical one.
They love to hire company employees of slaughter houses, they know what to do already.
I then do 6 weeks training clients postdraft in Pheonix at Fischer Sports after the draft thenbacck to Dallas. Then I do a 2 week DB’s camp at IMG performance center in Tampa in early June.
Saints historically haven’t played away from domes, and the weather in Lambeau won’t be favorable. They’ll have to beat SF first, and that should be a great game.
by Sean Payton. That’s how a coach manages a team facing a high powered offense with the Saints somewhat poor defense. The aggression on fourth downs, the playcalling, the second half adjustments were just brilliant. Somebody send this game tape to Jason Garrett. My favorite moment was the Drew Brees fourth down QB sneak play and I immediately flashed back to Romo’s limp failed attempt against the Giants. Just a great coaching job.
Unless you have size like Brady or Roethlisburger, or some hops like Brees showed, maybe you shouldn’t expect your often injured quarterback with a suspect offensive line to get push when they hadn’t run the ball effectively all game. I think thats part of managing the game. Just sayin.
That's different. Fair enough. Romo is capable of running it, as he showed
against the Bucs, but no question having him run was not a good idea in this game, given the fact that it had to be hard to secure the ball with that bad hand.
Garrett helps scout the O-Line talent and he helped put those guys on the field, so he’s responsible for the poor line play as much as Jerry is. No excuses there.
I know Romo and Vick shredded there secondary. They get by on field goals and field position. With the Saints offensive line, I think Brees with have another big game.
I live in Virginia and went to SanFrancisco to watch the "boys play the 9ers and the fans were as bad as the Redskin fans are here. I have been to Dallas numerous times to see the Cowboys and have never seen opposing fans being crapped on like other city’s do.
I'm not saying it hasn't happened but I've not seen it in Dallas
I was actually told by some people at the Hyatt in SF I should be careful wearing Cowboy’s t-shirts around different parts of that area. We went for a week.

Hate Schwartz but wish Sean Payton had stayed in Dallas
Man, could Dallas have been in a Super Bowl over that time?
Martin79 - January 7, 2012
Probably
But Payton was due to move on to an HC job. We couldn’t fire Parcells to promote Payton, I don’t think. The timing there wasn’t ideal.

I still haven't gotten over Schwant's taunting of Dez
And his temper tantrum after the 49ers beat them. And Suh’s cheap shots. Detroit was one of those teams I felt sorry for, now I hate them.

Lol, my cat is griping at me, she says it is past my bedtime.
She was really pissed at me last night for staying up so late. She came in and woke me up every 30 minutes to try and teach me a lesson. I threw her off the bed twice and she decided to quit.

Wow I just realized
From the NFC, Brees, Rodgers, and Manning have gone to the Super Bowl. Vick and Cutler have played in conference championships.
Romo… botches a fg snap and costs his team the game in the playoffs. Yes, this guy would be elite… if John Beck is.

But I really loved it. To bad it finally wore completely out.
I couldn’t wear it out as it had a anti gay message that I found amusing. A friend of mine had the same shirt and wore it on her motorcycle. I was always afraid someone was going to run her off the road or hit her.

Cowboy88 - January 7, 2012
The offensive talent on these two teams is absurd
It was a little surprising how quietly the Lions went down against the Packers, Bears and Saints this year given that talent.
Calvin Johnson may be the first wr since Randy Moss I would describe as “impossible to defend”. A guy that tall and that strong should not be able to run that fast and catch the ball that well.
foyesboys - January 7, 2012

There are good govt jobs that people have no idea are there. And they are fairly easy to qualify for.
For instance for the USDA you can go get a job at a slaughter house, after a year you can qualify as a meat inspector. You start at almost $40k a year, plus OT and great benefits.
Rena - January 7, 2012
That's cool information, thank you.
I will definitely look into it.
me gusta - January 7, 2012 via mobile
Sure

You can also qualify with a years experience for things like a shift manager at a restaurant, etc.

Saints historically haven’t played away from domes, and the weather in Lambeau won’t be favorable. They’ll have to beat SF first, and that should be a great game.

Fernie67 - January 8, 2012
The offensive line performance you saw tonight is why the Saints are Superbowl favorites
That offensive line is why Drew Brees is never complimented for his “escape-ability” like Romo is, because Brees doesn’t have to escape free rushers.

A Virtuoso Coaching Performance.....
by Sean Payton.
The Dark Knightt - January 7, 2012
The Saints line was terrific today
Garrett has very rarely had that benefit.
I love Peyton’s aggression though.
foyesboys - January 7, 2012
Payton**
foyesboys - January 7, 2012
I was going to say the same thing. The Cowboys O line got no push, and Boley made
a really good play. I don’t think that was bad coaching.
Fernie67 - January 7, 2012
Who helped scout our line and put them on the field?
That would be Garrett. Its his line. He’s the offensive coordinator. Its his problem Has been for years, Jerry notwithstanding.
The Dark Knightt - January 7, 2012
Well, that's fine, but that wasn't the original issue. You were talking about game
management, not personnel.

To me, its all included.
Unless you have size like Brady or Roethlisburger, or some hops like Brees showed, maybe you shouldn’t expect your often injured quarterback with a suspect offensive line to get push when they hadn’t run the ball effectively all game. I think thats part of managing the game. Just sayin.
The Dark Knightt - January 7, 2012
That's different. Fair enough. Romo is capable of running it, as he showed
against the Bucs, but no question having him run was not a good idea in this game, given the fact that it had to be hard to secure the ball with that bad hand.
Fernie67 - January 7, 2012
Well....
Garrett helps scout the O-Line talent and he helped put those guys on the field, so he’s responsible for the poor line play as much as Jerry is. No excuses there.
The Dark Knightt - January 7, 2012
Yep
kindablue - January 7, 2012
I hope
The 49ers get absolutely destroyed by the Saints. I live in Cali and I can’t stand their fans now.

It's going to be an interesting game. The NO offense against one of the best defenses, if
not the best, in the NFL. I think the NO D can take the SF O.
Fernie67 - January 7, 2012
Yeah,
I know Romo and Vick shredded there secondary. They get by on field goals and field position. With the Saints offensive line, I think Brees with have another big game.
BrickTop - January 7, 2012 via mobile
I know exactly what you mean
I live in Virginia and went to SanFrancisco to watch the "boys play the 9ers and the fans were as bad as the Redskin fans are here. I have been to Dallas numerous times to see the Cowboys and have never seen opposing fans being crapped on like other city’s do.
Martin79 - January 7, 2012
They've had fan violence at some of their games, haven't they?
Fernie67 - January 7, 2012
Yup
A shooting. I think someone died, or was hurt. I cant remember. When the Cowboys played at Candlestick in week 2, it was overrun by Cowboys fans.
BrickTop - January 7, 2012 via mobile
Wow_ glad I missed it
Martin79 - January 7, 2012
Heh, I like that the Cowboys fans represented.
Fernie67 - January 7, 2012
It was 50/50 Cowboys to 49ers fans
but I meant i was glad I missed the shooting
Martin79 - January 7, 2012
I think
It was in preseason. The shooting wasnt after the Cowboys game.
BrickTop - January 7, 2012 via mobile
Yeah, I don't think it was our game either.
Fernie67 - January 7, 2012
I'm not saying it hasn't happened but I've not seen it in Dallas
I was actually told by some people at the Hyatt in SF I should be careful wearing Cowboy’s t-shirts around different parts of that area. We went for a week.
Martin79 - January 7, 2012
When I watch the Saints offense
I look at the Cowboys offense and wish we could be explosive like that on a consistent basis.
If this team doesn’t take a pass rusher in the first, then they had better draft DeCastro.

Ya Gotta Remember
They have Brees… We have Romolomodingdong.
