Ok, this is waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy off topic but i have to share

is because Packers passing offense has been most efficient in nfl history. The packers D is bad, very bad, but not historically bad – if the opposition wasn’t trailing constantly, their yardage total wouldn’t be that awful.
Easy. Everyone hates the Pats except Pats fans, and Brady’s legitimately a top five QB of all time. Belichick is a top four coach with Gilman, Lombardi, Walsh and himself. Go for the team with actual greatness on the field.
Lombardi, yes. Best coach in league history. Walsh, probably. Belichick and Gilman, no way. Paul Brown, Curly Lambeau, Chuck Noll, George Halas, Joe Gibbs, Tom Landry and Bill Parcells are the real contenders. I get the historical influence by including Gilman, but Paul Brown’s contributions dwarfed his by a large margin.
And the fact the Patriots cheated and barely won their Super Bowls tells me they weren’t that great.
Belichick and Gilman >>>>> Noll, Halas, Gibs, Landry, and Parcells.
Look at Gilman’s coaching tree…dude was straight boss. Brown has a very solid argument too. Belichick cheated? Hah!!! You honestly think he was the only one to record other team’s practices? Please. He won three rocks in the Salary Cap era and he assembled the greatest team ever. I would kill for Belichick to be the head coach of the Cowboys.
Cowboys were average. In advanced stats, slightly below average. Green Bay is terrible in every way. No bright spots. Even Clay Matthews produced less than Anthony Spencer.
but they were pretty awful against the divisional rivals. I have a feeling the november/december D will be what we see in 2012 if we don’t make upgrades
I cruzed through the Eagles game thread for Giants Packers and those guys are a strange, angry bunch. You guys are so much more normal.
Also wanted to say that because of BTB I dislike the Cowboys a whole lot less. But because of BGN, I absolutely hate the Eagles with a passion. They really are the villians of the NFC East if not the NFL.
The Tyree catch – first I’m surprised the officials didn’t blow it dead when Manning was wrapped up, then Eli made a favreian heave downfield to a scrub, who managed to catch the ball on his head with one of the better safeties in recent memory draped over him.
As the Giant’s march closer to another Super Bowl, isn’t it amazing that Romo was one pass (the one he overthrew Austin in 3rd down in Giant game 1 with 2:30 left) from eliminating the Giants from the playoffs.
If Romo keeps with the scoring pace, then I’d say it could’ve been possible. Of course if our own D didn’t piss away leads, then we could be seeing them live, since Atl just folded in the wildcard round.
lets go 49ers? That makes me a little sick to my stomach too. I will gladly smack my private part against a cactus 10 times if it would mean Giants don’t make it to the super bowl ever again.
But that’s on the league, not the Pats. I agree though, they shouldn’t be able to change personnel like that until the offseason. I mean, they can make the hire, but they shouldn’t be able to implement the change until the season is over.
No reason to watch any football the rest of this year. 4 teams left that I have absolutely no interest in are left. Unless we get some kind of ridiculously insane comeback…
I want to see the Pats win. I can’t deal with the possibility of Eli Manning having 2 superbowls, though this year at least hes played like a SB caliber qb
I used to live in New Orleans and went to the Superdome a couple of times for games. Back when they never won a game. So they are a lesser evil for me.
I wonder just how good Alex Smith would be if he didn’t have a different OC every year of his career, 7 of them.
It has to suck to switch systems every year.
at this point for the first time I will call the Giants a legitimately great team.
The passing offense is one of the league’s better ones. Eli is playing smarter. The defense has improved vastly since the first 3 months of the season.
What I am saying is that you can’t win without a pass rush and there are a LOT more good interior linemen available in this (and every) draft than disruptive linemen or pass rushing linebackers.
Guard is not a position you generally take that high.
I just don’t see a sure pick at #14 except DeCastro. That being said, if we draft Upshaw, Ingram, Dre or even Perry, Mercillus. I wouldn’t be un happy.
Bill Leavy's "roughing the passer" farce of a call is the only reason this game is even close
Seriously. Officiating this season has been appalling. Clean hit on Rogers called “roughing the passer” that so happens to keep their drive alive?
I will say that the Giants’ whupping of the Packers makes me feel a LITTLE better about their whupping of the Cowboys. But then again, I have been saying all along: this Giants team reminds me of the one that beat the Patriots and ruined their perfect record. Cowboys are out, so I suppose I’ll go for NFC East.
ya HAVE to give ’em credit…..they have played great lately. Historically, its very difficult to win in the playoffs in Lambeau…..and here the Giants are doing just that.
The only team left in the playoffs that I don’t hate is the ravens. So hopefully the niners beat the gmen to deny them another trip to the big one, and the niners then lose 3-0 in the lowest scoring superbowl ever.
Hey, if they win the Super Bowl, they pick last in the draft.
I’m OK with that. And they have to be the underdogs in their remaining matchup(s), so…given that the Cowboys are out, and the underdog Giants are in, I’ll cheer for the NFC East rep’s. That’s how I see it.
I live around these Jacka$$… I live through 2007 my heart won’t be able to take them winning another SB. If you hang with a Giants fan for just a minute, then you would understand where I’m coming from. And I know hundreds of them. Class will suck, Work will suck, going out will suck. Facebook will suck, My life would just all around suck. So no I DO NOT WANT THEM TO WIN THE SB, I DON"T EVEN WANT THEM TO GO TO THE SB.
Having said that, I don’t know if I would ever cheer for the Eagles in a future Super Bowl. They would have to be playing the Steelers.
I do want Belichick and his fellow cheaters to never win another one, or even go to another one. What a slap in the face to sportsmanship. Not that other coaches aren’t cheating…but I know for sure Belichick did.
year to year is a very inconsistent player. Some years hes dominant, some years he barely does anything. I don’t know why you would choose him as your answer.
I’d rather have Campbell and stick to the 3-4.
Also, if Bruce Carter comes around, I think we will finally see the versatility of a 3-4, with 7 potential front 7 rushers and some real speed and playmaking ability at multiple linebacker positions.
Ware, Campbell, Spencer/ideally equivalent or better replacement at olb, Ratliff, Hatcher. Lissemore and Butler have been decent in limited time.
Add in an ilb with the speed to get to the qb in Carter and I think we instantly have a large number of capable pass rushers. Our ilbs had zero sacks this year (Steelers + Ravens had 4-6), that number will go up next year with Carter.
Theres no reason to revamp the whole D. I think we are one great pass rusher at either DE or OLB from being up there with the elite teams.
The secondary though needs a lot of help I think. But thats not a 3-4 or 4-3 thing.
And I am their BIGGEST Fan. You have to pick someone and I picked a team from our Division. I respect them a lot more than I do Philadelphia or Washington. No way a Cowboys fan should root for the Niners either, right?
A. I cannot stomach the Giants having another run like this.
B. Ravens vs. 49ers would be a punting contest – no thanks (I’d like to see some form of good quarterbacking).
C. The Niners are 5-0 in the big game and need to have that perfect record tarnished. Plus the Cowboys already trail the Steelers by one and I couldn’t stand them trailing the Niners as well.
I’m a fan of defense and defense wins championships.. BAL has a better chance than NE at beating the 9ers or Gmen… but in the end I can respect SF because they’re a gritty team, with a great defense, and an awesome coach. Same with Baltimore. The Pats are a team that just scores and doesn’t play defense, also Brady is a punk… All I can respect is Belicheck
Also sent players into games who he knew had recently suffered concussions (Ted Johnson). At least one of his players was an HGH user. Treats everyone around him with contempt.
Didn’t want Pittsburgh, Tebow, Houston, N.O., or the can-do-no-wrong Pack, nor do I want S.F.(don’t want a 6th), the Pats (they’re getting close too), Giants (East rival and would get 5 SB)
So of course it would come to the Cowboys biggest rivals playing for the right to go to the SB. I thought i was over that last lost, but I’m back to being depressed. I hope JJ and the right of front office is feeling the same way.
For a team with a inbred hilly billy QB, 2-3 terrorists in offense , an illegal immigrant who runs as if he is escaping border patrol and a guy conceived through and named after BJ.
I don't exactly "root' for a team other than the Cowboys.
I make picks for a game and pick the team I think has the best chance to win. I was 4-0 this weekend, so yes, I picked the Giants. I have also picked them to win again next week and also the Super Bowl. I think they have played the best football over the past month of any team in the league. I witnessed some of it first hand against the Cowboys. They are the hot team playing well all around and I think they can beat San Francisco and New England. If I was rooting, I would be rooting against them for sure, but I still think they win.
It's comforting that the Packers didn't do any better than the Cowboys against the Giants.
I’m taking the Giants,as I did today, against the Niners. Eli is a big-time QB for certain. He’ll be the difference next week. Cowboys to the Super Bowl in 2013.
Go Meteor.

Now this is what a bad defense looks like...
The Packers defense allowed the most passing yards in the history of the NFL according to Buck…
Omar Little - January 15, 2012
only reason thats true
is because Packers passing offense has been most efficient in nfl history. The packers D is bad, very bad, but not historically bad – if the opposition wasn’t trailing constantly, their yardage total wouldn’t be that awful.

But it was funny when my Tigers beat the Yanks. It was obvious he was for N.Y.

hope Tony runs the ball more like Rodgers
it really throws off the defense
somebodyquiet - January 15, 2012
He would if he wasn’t running for his life.
Kevin L - January 15, 2012
I'm worried about his health
But you’d be surprised how much an offense is opened up when the O-Line executes properly
NYHorn - January 15, 2012
everytime I watch Rodgers
I wish Romo ran more.
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
He runs for his life enough.
Kevin L - January 15, 2012
We Passed on Rodgers didn't we?
pfloyd1 - January 15, 2012
so did 22 other teams
BWAREofDWARE94 - January 15, 2012

Packers have best secondary in NFL 31 INTs
Their pass rush failed em this season, and they lost Nick Collins in the Panthers game.
Rohpuri - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Collins is a very good player, that one definitely hurt them
So far their secondary hasn’t been that awful, its been the pass rush
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
Reasons their pass rush failed
1) Losing Cullen Jenkins to Phi in FA
2) Injuries to Matthews all season long
Rohpuri - January 15, 2012 via mobile
nope dallas doesnt get picks

Your Dallas Cowboys Ladies and Gentlemen
NYHorn - January 15, 2012

I thought it was just some really stupid running by Rolle
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
there were 4 Giants waiting to block who threw their hands up at the end of the play
like “why the heck did you go that way?”
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
oh exactly
that fumble isn’t the running back’s fault, it was the play calling. Too conservative, too risky, too whatever.

Pretty much.
Omar Little - January 15, 2012
Well I guess out of the NFC you'll see the Giants or the 49ers.
Both are vomit inducing options.
Omar Little - January 15, 2012
Go Meteor.
Kevin L - January 15, 2012
too early
I have faith in Rodgers and those wrs, but they’re probably going to need to score a bunch of points in the second half.
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
We're very close
to choosing between the Pats Ravens Gnits and 9ers.
Very close to no good options
NYHorn - January 15, 2012
Pats...
Easy. Everyone hates the Pats except Pats fans, and Brady’s legitimately a top five QB of all time. Belichick is a top four coach with Gilman, Lombardi, Walsh and himself. Go for the team with actual greatness on the field.
Omar Little - January 15, 2012
Maybe but I hate Brady
On the other hand they are the most palatable. I just hate that Brady would be the 2nd QB with 4 Superbowls
NYHorn - January 15, 2012
Top four coaches
Lombardi, yes. Best coach in league history. Walsh, probably. Belichick and Gilman, no way. Paul Brown, Curly Lambeau, Chuck Noll, George Halas, Joe Gibbs, Tom Landry and Bill Parcells are the real contenders. I get the historical influence by including Gilman, but Paul Brown’s contributions dwarfed his by a large margin.
And the fact the Patriots cheated and barely won their Super Bowls tells me they weren’t that great.
kindablue - January 15, 2012
Belichick and Gilman >>>>> Noll, Halas, Gibs, Landry, and Parcells.
Look at Gilman’s coaching tree…dude was straight boss. Brown has a very solid argument too. Belichick cheated? Hah!!! You honestly think he was the only one to record other team’s practices? Please. He won three rocks in the Salary Cap era and he assembled the greatest team ever. I would kill for Belichick to be the head coach of the Cowboys.
Omar Little - January 15, 2012
I didn't realize
Belichick assembled the early 90s Cowboys?
Plinkostar - January 15, 2012
One word

kindablue - January 15, 2012

BWAREofDWARE94 - January 15, 2012
Very similar to Stafford throwing jump ball over Jenkins and Co. to Calvin in the back of endzone in Cowboys Stadium
Rohpuri - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Naa
Green Bay had much longer to adjust on that ball. It was like a punt.
CotySaxman - January 15, 2012 via mobile
and yet most of them didn't get close to the ball
that was truly awful defense.
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
Makes me feel better,
Knowing our defense is far better than some of these playoff teams.
CotySaxman - January 15, 2012 via mobile
oh you just think that because the Cowboys haven't played recently
let’s not forget how putrid the Cowboys’ defense is.
Joey2zs - January 15, 2012
Well, statistically better.
Cowboys were average. In advanced stats, slightly below average. Green Bay is terrible in every way. No bright spots. Even Clay Matthews produced less than Anthony Spencer.
CotySaxman - January 15, 2012 via mobile
I'd rater have Matthews over Spencer.
Rohpuri - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Maybe so.
But he isn’t nearly as good as his reputation. I know he’s better than Spencer, but he didn’t show it this year
CotySaxman - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Battling injuries
Rohpuri - January 15, 2012 via mobile
The start of the year they played legit ball
but they were pretty awful against the divisional rivals. I have a feeling the november/december D will be what we see in 2012 if we don’t make upgrades
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
They'll be rested. Might play like they did around week 3
No way they start the season gassed
CotySaxman - January 15, 2012 via mobile

Kevin L - January 15, 2012

I cruzed through the Eagles game thread for Giants Packers and those guys are a strange, angry bunch. You guys are so much more normal.
Also wanted to say that because of BTB I dislike the Cowboys a whole lot less. But because of BGN, I absolutely hate the Eagles with a passion. They really are the villians of the NFC East if not the NFL.

Jenkins was a space eater on their Dline

Eli won’t be passing for record yardage next week.
pfloyd1 - January 15, 2012
Not against that defense.
tommy d. - January 16, 2012
He won't have to.
Giants defense will shut Alex Smith down. Eli will throw for just enough to get the job done.
Mikellie - January 16, 2012
And then get bent over and violated by Brady and company.
TXHC - January 17, 2012
Another manning miracle catch
oldtimer - January 15, 2012
Helmet catch
oldtimer - January 15, 2012
this wasn't nearly that miraculous
bad defense + a good jump ball wr.
The Tyree catch – first I’m surprised the officials didn’t blow it dead when Manning was wrapped up, then Eli made a favreian heave downfield to a scrub, who managed to catch the ball on his head with one of the better safeties in recent memory draped over him.
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
Agree this one not as good still helmet aided
Also slow whistle in that SB
oldtimer - January 15, 2012
To the benefit of the league
If the whistle was blown, the NFL would be without the greatest play in SB history.
tommy d. - January 16, 2012
Where is Biletnikoff and his Stickum?
pfloyd1 - January 15, 2012
borderline shocked the 9ers pulled it out yesterday
80 + 85 yard drives to retake the lead twice. Never saw it coming.
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
never saw the saints
Gifting the niners 17 points with turnovers to start the game. Their offense is terrible but not terrible enough to reject gifts like those.
beWARE94 - January 15, 2012 via iPhone app
The catch that cost me 100 bucks…..
Kevin L - January 15, 2012
They would've had the points
If the refs got that call right earlier on the fumble.
CotySaxman - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Looked like our DBs vs Megatron
pfloyd1 - January 15, 2012
I'd rather have GB's secondary, DLine, Eric Walden, to compliment Ware and Lee
Than our garbage bunch
Rohpuri - January 15, 2012 via mobile
umm how does their DL look better than ours?
they’ve looked as impotent as our DL does in rushing the passer.
The Packers were LAST in the league in sack rate.
I’d take their secondary though.
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
Id take BJ Raji over Ratliff
Rohpuri - January 15, 2012 via mobile
would make a nice rotation
Rat coming in on passing downs.
Joey2zs - January 15, 2012
ok I would too
but this year, Raji hasn’t been great either.
foyesboys - January 15, 2012

Giants Destiny
As the Giant’s march closer to another Super Bowl, isn’t it amazing that Romo was one pass (the one he overthrew Austin in 3rd down in Giant game 1 with 2:30 left) from eliminating the Giants from the playoffs.
Sports is amazing sometimes.

Even though Giants lost to SF, I don’t see them losing again. They’re on a roll.
MikeTamborrino - January 15, 2012
I'll take that action
SF is probably the most complete team in the NFL
Joey2zs - January 15, 2012

NYHorn - January 15, 2012
as long as it ain't Tebow

Joey2zs - January 15, 2012
I'd take SF
don’t think the Giants will be able to handle that D. This isn’t the Saints or Packers or Cowboys defense we’re talking about

All they ended up getting:
1) Rivers
2) Kaeding
3) Merriman
Rohpuri - January 15, 2012 via mobile
That should've been us kicking GB's ass right now, but instead NYG might be on pace to win the NFC
Thats what pisses me off the most.
kwentin - January 15, 2012
You really think that would've happened?
No. Cowboys weren’t that good this year
NYHorn - January 15, 2012
With GB's bad defense
If Romo keeps with the scoring pace, then I’d say it could’ve been possible. Of course if our own D didn’t piss away leads, then we could be seeing them live, since Atl just folded in the wildcard round.
kwentin - January 15, 2012
Giants D has once again stepped it up
they really are all or nothing. 2008 + 2009 they collapse monumentally, 2007+2010 they pick up their play
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
The Packers look like they thought they'd cruise to a win.
Fernie67 - January 15, 2012
Darn
Looks like I’ll be watching 60 Minutes soon. This game is depressing
MikeTamborrino - January 15, 2012
Giants horrible secondary bailed out by Osi
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
and that's why I'm against drafting CBs in the first round
pass rush improves coverage
Joey2zs - January 15, 2012
Packers have made countless errors in this game. Need to go to quick passes and stop looking to go downfield.
pfloyd1 - January 15, 2012
I wonder if Packers BTB page is calling for Favre to come out of retirement.
Rodgers not the reason Packers are losing. But if Romo was playing this type of game BTB would be involved in a Civil War right now.
Rohpuri - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Might be calling for Flynn to come in.
pfloyd1 - January 15, 2012
Jacobs is terrible
Unless he’s playing the Boys
beWARE94 - January 15, 2012 via iPhone app
Packers gagged
Packers look unprepared. Giants might win by 25.
MikeTamborrino - January 15, 2012
You know what really ticks me offf?
neither this Giants team, nor the one from 07 was that good. Neither were really what you call Superbowl caliber teams
NYHorn - January 15, 2012
this team has a much better offense
and a slightly worse D.
Giants in 2007 were the opposite.
But the amazing thing is they were relatively meh in the regular season both years, then manage to turn it on.
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
I just hate it
Why can the Gnats do this? Why can’t we ARGH
NYHorn - January 15, 2012
Jerry Jones
Because we have Jerry Jones and they don’t! :(
MikeTamborrino - January 15, 2012
Better defense, both times.
Fernie67 - January 15, 2012
Yeah but we've definitely had better teams than this one
At least my Metallic Blue Colored Glasses tell me that
NYHorn - January 15, 2012
lol
tommy d. - January 16, 2012
Plus 1 million
oldtimer - January 15, 2012
Manning played out of his mind both seasons
Hate him if you must… but the facts is the facts.
And this season’s 4 DEs are purely sick.
Joey2zs - January 15, 2012
They caught fire at the very end
Wish we would
NYHorn - January 15, 2012
But they won
It doesn’t matter what record you have. You just need to make the playoffs and hit your stride in late December.
MikeTamborrino - January 15, 2012
Yeah but it can piss me off
NYHorn - January 15, 2012
4th and Inches, Giants should have gone for it.
Rohpuri - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Airman comments on saving a td buck keeps jabbering
oldtimer - January 15, 2012
that wasn't a very good throw at all
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
Nelson had him beat
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
Throw too late
pfloyd1 - January 15, 2012
Just not the Pack's night
I’d be shocked to see the Pack come back.
MikeTamborrino - January 15, 2012
I think this is far from over
all it takes is one big play to get the Packers back in it, and they’ve been oh so close multiple times
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
The refs did their best to keep them in the game but even that wasn't close to being enough
tommy d. - January 16, 2012
+1
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
I'd be beside myself if I were a GB fan
15-1 with the best QB in the NFL… and they are clowning around at home in the playoffs.
Joey2zs - January 15, 2012
Sounds familiar
But I don’t know why
NYHorn - January 15, 2012
*To Clarify*
Was thinking of Brady 2010
NYHorn - January 15, 2012
like Cowboys did 4 years ago?
MikeTamborrino - January 15, 2012
Except for
“Best QB in the NFL” that too
NYHorn - January 15, 2012
Romo has the misfortune of playing
in the era of Rodgers, Brady, Mannings, Brees and Rivers. Statistically among the best QBs in the history of the NFL.
Joey2zs - January 15, 2012
You won't find an argument from me
I love Romo. Favorite Current Cowboy
NYHorn - January 15, 2012
Same here
He and Tyron Smith
Joey2zs - January 15, 2012
If he ever gets a ring, he'll be on that list.
Fernie67 - January 15, 2012
Well said
Rohpuri - January 15, 2012 via mobile
he's had the misfortune
Of playing with a turnstile Oline and a defense that can’t stop average Qbs… let alone good ones.
beWARE94 - January 15, 2012 via iPhone app
It is pretty pathetic.
pfloyd1 - January 15, 2012
Running??
MikeTamborrino - January 15, 2012
why do the packers keep running?
they are wasting downs.
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
each play is worse than the one before!
MikeTamborrino - January 15, 2012
What! was that!
pfloyd1 - January 15, 2012
Wow what a catch
NYHorn - January 15, 2012
Nice catch
pfloyd1 - January 15, 2012
omg catch the ball lol
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
ehhh
guess Rodgers needs to put that on him, thats a tough play
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
ya really 6 drops
Nets2410 - January 15, 2012
wow Driver's two catches have both been huge
Nets2410 - January 15, 2012
need stckum.....drops!
MikeTamborrino - January 15, 2012
See that's a good way of utilizing a RB
NYHorn - January 15, 2012
1st down c'mon packers let's get a score
Nets2410 - January 15, 2012
I get so sick
Of the two weeks off vs rolling into the playoffs debate. Teams win both ways.
beWARE94 - January 15, 2012 via iPhone app
Ryan Grant, James Starks, John Kuhn are putting the ball on the ground today.
And as I’m about to post, Starks with a nice catch n carry.
Rohpuri - January 15, 2012 via mobile
HA HA
Then the 20 yard Run. Unlucky. Here say something bad about Rodgers
NYHorn - January 15, 2012
Aaron Rodgers one of my favorite players. I won't say anything bad about him.
Rohpuri - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Well I'm just stating the irony
Of you saying something bad and then the player doing something good.
Ah nevermind. My sarcasm ability is off tonight
NYHorn - January 15, 2012
my ability to spot sacarsm may be off tonight. lol
Rohpuri - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Game on!
Joey2zs - January 15, 2012
nice run
MikeTamborrino - January 15, 2012
STARKS!
great job just falling down at the end so you didn’t fumble! super smart!
Nets2410 - January 15, 2012
ok I'll shut up
thats why they run the ball lol. Up to this point it was going nowhere
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
I like outside runs and screens
But I’m not a fan of Between the tackle running
NYHorn - January 15, 2012
agreed
every time they run twice in a row, they’ve gotten zero yards on the second too lol
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
haha
been there.
beWARE94 - January 15, 2012 via iPhone app
nice running by starks
Rohpuri - January 15, 2012 via mobile
come on packers dont run the ball every freaking play
Nets2410 - January 15, 2012
FG would suck here
MikeTamborrino - January 15, 2012
Wow did you see those guys just carry Kuhn off the field?
NYHorn - January 15, 2012
That's why I would be reluctant to take Richardson with a top 10-15 pick.
pfloyd1 - January 15, 2012
JENNINGS CATCH THE DAMN BALL
Nets2410 - January 15, 2012
He just whiffs on the ball.
Not doing anyone any favors.
willyoubemycharizard - January 15, 2012
Wow just wow
You’ve gotta catch that
NYHorn - January 15, 2012
are you serious?
catch the freakin ball!!!
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
He wasn't really open. Dumb call on 2nd down
MikeTamborrino - January 15, 2012
+1 but Jenkins probably should've had that
defender didn’t touch it + Jenkins was looking at it the whole way
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
Jennings
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
Huge win for Giants to hold to FG
MikeTamborrino - January 15, 2012
FG's won't do it
MikeTamborrino - January 15, 2012
wow
just barely
Nets2410 - January 15, 2012
can anyone on this team
Catch the ball consistently today?
beWARE94 - January 15, 2012 via iPhone app
Us or the Pack.
Kevin L - January 15, 2012
C’mon fudge.
Kevin L - January 15, 2012
Austin would've bobbled it, and an INT would've resulted.
Rohpuri - January 15, 2012 via mobile
just a bit inside
GalTex - January 15, 2012
Whew, too close.
get some turnovers GB
kwentin - January 15, 2012
No turnovers, no win
If Giants don’t turn it over, they’ll be hard to catch, even only up 7.
MikeTamborrino - January 15, 2012
Hey Guys- Wanted to share this with you
I think the Giants success should be telling us what we need to do in the draft…
Like US they have have bad secondary.
Unlike US, they have a pass rush that collapses the pocket and generates consistent pressure.
This is why I think we should be going D-Line or OLB in the first, not S or CB.
nspirals - January 15, 2012
I agree
NYHorn - January 15, 2012
100% agree. Pass defense is 99% pash rush.
MikeTamborrino - January 15, 2012
Deal, any caliber draft picks for those spots in mind.
the only one i know of is DeCastro, but thats for OL.
kwentin - January 15, 2012
One game with 6 dropped balls and you're throwing the Pack O under the BUS
pfloyd1 - January 15, 2012
Pfloyd- off topic
have you seen Australian Pink Floyd live? They are effing amazing, just saw them in November.
nspirals - January 15, 2012
Yes I have They are pretty good but there's nothing like the original. Even Waters while really good doesn't come close!
But He’s worth seeing if you haven’t already been to the Wall concert.
pfloyd1 - January 15, 2012
Yeah saw Waters...
a while back but it was a long time ago on like Radio KAOS or something. I should see the Wall…
nspirals - January 15, 2012
It's Really good, nice special effects
pfloyd1 - January 15, 2012
Driver. Class. Catch the ball head back to huddle. No hotdogging
oldtimer - January 15, 2012
Dare I say it? The Packers look inept.
Fernie67 - January 15, 2012
they don't look good
but all it takes is one play to turn the game.
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
It's killing me to root for the Packers. But the idea of Dumb Face and the Leg Breakers
advancing it too horrible to contemplate.
Fernie67 - January 15, 2012
I'm not rooting for Dumb Face and the Leg Breakers
Rohpuri - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Good. They make me ill.
Fernie67 - January 15, 2012
Same feeling
oldtimer - January 15, 2012
1 run, 1 penalty and they're in a hole
suddenly the Packers have momentum lol
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
huge holding call
Rohpuri - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Giants got away with a hold with Eli in the end zone
super lucky there
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
a blatant obvious Trent WIlliams on Ware type hold
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
Giants OL holding all afternoon
pfloyd1 - January 15, 2012
Well, it would explain why Manning has time just to stand there.
Fernie67 - January 15, 2012
Told ya. Luckiest ever.
Fernie67 - January 15, 2012
intentional grounding in the end zone= safety

beWARE94 - January 15, 2012 via iPhone app
Aikman, whenever they do a Giants game, can't hide his liking for them.
Rohpuri - January 15, 2012 via mobile
not much running room
MikeTamborrino - January 15, 2012
Murray is a much better rb than starks
starks gets hit and the play is over
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
No burst
oldtimer - January 15, 2012
Dammit Rodgers, you're gonna get decapitatied like that.

Aaron Rodgers wants this game. Scrambling for 1st downs.

he has to he isn't getting much help
centralkscowboysfan - January 15, 2012
just throw
Packers need to throw
MikeTamborrino - January 15, 2012

I’m amazed teams don’t try trick plays more often.
MikeTamborrino - January 15, 2012
yes....i think we should bring in Demarcus Ware and line him up in the backfield

That's it quick hits

just ripped off Rodgers Championship belt thing?

It's gonna come back to bite them
I have faith
NYHorn - January 15, 2012
all Giant's need is a FG and the Pack are done
MikeTamborrino - January 15, 2012
really beginning to remind me of Cowboys-Giants in 2007 in terms of #1 seed miscues
Giants need to make a big offensive play to avoid this coming down to the wire.
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
Does Rodgers have money on the game? He's missed wide open WRs.
slimbig - January 15, 2012
He had someone gover the middle wide open and held the ball.
pfloyd1 - January 15, 2012
they might be done anyhow
MikeTamborrino - January 15, 2012
It's a very good strategy
If you can rush 4 and generate pressure you can drop 7 and make a QB’s life miserable
NYHorn - January 15, 2012
too bad Saints lost. Would love to see if Giants could win in NO
MikeTamborrino - January 15, 2012
Nicks breaks every tackle on that quick out pass.
slimbig - January 15, 2012
You sure they didn’t draft Bennett?

well this is making me depressed
time to go to the bar. Oh the joys of being single with no kids.
centralkscowboysfan - January 15, 2012

NYHorn - January 15, 2012
Jacobs with 3 yards of open space
is a freakin load
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
Not that I really care and I'd never root for the Gmen, but the Packers are playing the worst football they've played all year.
pfloyd1 - January 15, 2012

Turnovers
Not getting pressure on QB
Not getting stops on 3rd downs
Everything GB is doing today
djthumpl - January 15, 2012

lets go 49ers? That makes me a little sick to my stomach too. I will gladly smack my private part against a cactus 10 times if it would mean Giants don’t make it to the super bowl ever again.

But who cares
djthumpl - January 15, 2012

TXHC - January 15, 2012
Better game?
Patriots-Giants rematch or the Harbaugh bowl pt 2?
2tightendpkg - January 15, 2012
The Pats will destroy the Giants, so I vote for that one.
TXHC - January 15, 2012
please let it be the former
I might throw up if its Ravens-49ers. Though that’ll officially end the streak of great qbs playing in the superbowl.
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
Good god, Alex Smith vs. Flacco?
Kill me.
TXHC - January 15, 2012

TARHEEL PAUL - January 15, 2012

Pats-Giants

Gronkowski is a beast
I’m very sad I didn’t get to see him play at Arizona in 2009.
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
I vote for Harbaugh
I hate the Pats, I hate the Giants, so I dont want either of those douchebags being vindicated in their douchery, winning another superbowl.
kwentin - January 15, 2012
If you

nspirals - January 15, 2012
That's it, it's the filming thing isn't it.
TXHC - January 15, 2012
Still don't get it.
Brady is one of the best there is and a stand up guy, and Bellichick is the best coach in the game.
TXHC - January 15, 2012
cheaters typically have an edge, no?
jakezze01 - January 15, 2012
What got me was letting the ex-Bronco's coach join the Pats staff for that game.

I have no problem with trying to give your team a strategic advantage.
TXHC - January 15, 2012
If they are going to do that, they should let FA players sign with playoff teams and join them also.
Rena - January 15, 2012
Yeah, you've got a point there.
But that’s on the league, not the Pats. I agree though, they shouldn’t be able to change personnel like that until the offseason. I mean, they can make the hire, but they shouldn’t be able to implement the change until the season is over.
TXHC - January 15, 2012
For what it's worth though it's not like it would have mattered.
The Broncos were outclassed.
TXHC - January 15, 2012
True, it wasn't even close.
Just they should have the same standards for both sides. Players as well as coaches. It prevents the appearance of underhanded stuff going on.
Rena - January 15, 2012
I can get on board with that.
TXHC - January 15, 2012
I guess.
It’s not like he’s shooting his players up with roids or something. He was just studying a little film.
TXHC - January 15, 2012

BPA at #14. If DeCastro is there, he is the BPA.
pfloyd1 - January 15, 2012
I'm not saying that strategy isn't sound...
What I am saying is that you can’t win without a pass rush and there are a LOT more good interior linemen available in this (and every) draft than disruptive linemen or pass rushing linebackers.
Guard is not a position you generally take that high.
nspirals - January 15, 2012
I want a dominant pass rush.

Cowboys are out, so I suppose I’ll go for NFC East.

foyesboys - January 15, 2012
I am so god damned torn now.
The only team left in the playoffs that I don’t hate is the ravens. So hopefully the niners beat the gmen to deny them another trip to the big one, and the niners then lose 3-0 in the lowest scoring superbowl ever.

VoldeMart - January 15, 2012
Man are you Mad
I live around these Jacka$$… I live through 2007 my heart won’t be able to take them winning another SB. If you hang with a Giants fan for just a minute, then you would understand where I’m coming from. And I know hundreds of them. Class will suck, Work will suck, going out will suck. Facebook will suck, My life would just all around suck. So no I DO NOT WANT THEM TO WIN THE SB, I DON"T EVEN WANT THEM TO GO TO THE SB.

Xfactor26 - January 15, 2012
Yeah. I only know one Giants fan.
Probably explains my equanimity.
VoldeMart - January 15, 2012
If Dallas were smart (and their not) they would sign Osi and switch to a 4-3.
football mensa - January 15, 2012
switching to a 4-3
wont stop the bleeding in the secondary. But it might comfort it as it dies.
Nick Castillo - January 15, 2012
Think he fit in our D?
oldtimer - January 15, 2012
If we switch to a 4-3 he would.
football mensa - January 15, 2012
Osi
year to year is a very inconsistent player. Some years hes dominant, some years he barely does anything. I don’t know why you would choose him as your answer.
I’d rather have Campbell and stick to the 3-4.
Also, if Bruce Carter comes around, I think we will finally see the versatility of a 3-4, with 7 potential front 7 rushers and some real speed and playmaking ability at multiple linebacker positions.
foyesboys - January 15, 2012
We will be nowhere close to 7 rushers. We only have a couple right now. We would have to add 5 more front seven guys.
Michael Brockers would help though.
football mensa - January 15, 2012
if we add campbell

For all the press that they got over the lights going out, I didn't see anyone mention how the same thing happened at the Giants new stadium earlier.
Rena - January 15, 2012
That’s cuz the Boys were playing lights out.
Kevin L - January 15, 2012
Literally lol.
Rena - January 15, 2012
Just cheer for the team you hate least. That's what I do.
VoldeMart - January 15, 2012
This sucks but I respect what they have done
scandrick32 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
.... Can't do it.
Xfactor26 - January 15, 2012
4-0 this weekend.
Feel free to bow down to the king.
Mikellie - January 15, 2012
GO PATS because based on what we saw today, it's the AFC's best chance to win the SB
fiverings37 - January 15, 2012
Giants vs Pats in Super Bowl
Giants win again 32-27.
Mikellie - January 15, 2012
SCREW THAT! GO METEOR!
Xfactor26 - January 15, 2012
I'm with you on that.
I don’t care if the Pats win it. What they did to the Broncos was masterful. If any team can beat NY or SF, its them.
Perry the Platypus - January 15, 2012 via mobile
I blame the Cowboys for not taking care of business when they were suppose too!!!
djthumpl - January 15, 2012
we aren't very good at this point.
I’m glad we didn’t make the playoffs. Would have been embarrassing and we’d have gotten a worse draft pick.
nspirals - January 15, 2012
unfortunately, this. We didn't deserve to be there
Xfactor26 - January 15, 2012
agreed
Beast3n - January 15, 2012
um yeah....
maybe in November but the December showed we weren’t ready
ScottB1985 - January 15, 2012
Yup! And if they had beaten the Giants, would they have beaten the Falcons...and the Pack?
Nope. The better team progressed. Next year, Jerry willing, the Cowboys will be the better team. The BEST team. Can’t wait for the Draft.
VoldeMart - January 15, 2012
Night guys.
Rena - January 15, 2012
what a lost weekend this was....forgive me but go(UGH) Niners and Pats next week
the go AFC in the SB
fiverings37 - January 15, 2012
no go pats
Pats and their fans are scum
NUHuskyCowboyMinutemanCeltic - January 15, 2012
freaking this
Xfactor26 - January 15, 2012
agree BUT, based on what we all saw today, it's the best chance that the AFC will have to win the game..
not that I am a Pats fan, BUT better them that the Niners or Giants.
fiverings37 - January 15, 2012
nah
Go Ravens
NUHuskyCowboyMinutemanCeltic - January 15, 2012
Go Ravens or Niners
Xfactor26 - January 15, 2012
I'd love to see the Pats...
…beat the 49ers in the super bowl.
A. I cannot stomach the Giants having another run like this.
B. Ravens vs. 49ers would be a punting contest – no thanks (I’d like to see some form of good quarterbacking).
C. The Niners are 5-0 in the big game and need to have that perfect record tarnished. Plus the Cowboys already trail the Steelers by one and I couldn’t stand them trailing the Niners as well.

fiverings37 - January 15, 2012
Well, it was going to suck playoff wise this year anyway, outside of Houston, NO, Cinni
Xfactor26 - January 15, 2012
Houston and NO would have been terrible
the fans of these crappy franchises would have never shut up.
ScottB1985 - January 15, 2012
NOT THE PATS
they have the dumbest, most arrogant fans ever, plus do you really want Brady to win a superbowl?
NUHuskyCowboyMinutemanCeltic - January 15, 2012
again, better than SF or NY, do YOU really want a 6th for SF or a most hated divsiona rival winning it??
fiverings37 - January 15, 2012
I honestly wouldn't mind SF or BAL
I’m a fan of defense and defense wins championships.. BAL has a better chance than NE at beating the 9ers or Gmen… but in the end I can respect SF because they’re a gritty team, with a great defense, and an awesome coach. Same with Baltimore. The Pats are a team that just scores and doesn’t play defense, also Brady is a punk… All I can respect is Belicheck
NUHuskyCowboyMinutemanCeltic - January 15, 2012
Belicheck can DIAF
Xfactor26 - January 15, 2012
Effing cheater
Also sent players into games who he knew had recently suffered concussions (Ted Johnson). At least one of his players was an HGH user. Treats everyone around him with contempt.
DIAF, indeed.
kindablue - January 15, 2012
I'm Baltimore all the way
Didn’t want Pittsburgh, Tebow, Houston, N.O., or the can-do-no-wrong Pack, nor do I want S.F.(don’t want a 6th), the Pats (they’re getting close too), Giants (East rival and would get 5 SB)
ScottB1985 - January 15, 2012
Giants may be East rival, but our division is great!
Mikellie - January 15, 2012
true. Everyone except the Eagles has a few rings lol
Growing up, the East was the NFC Beast. The ’Skins, then Giants, then Cowboys!! won all those super bowls in the late 80s and early 90s
ScottB1985 - January 15, 2012
If you could guarantee a Ravens SB win, I'm all for it, short of that...
it’s too risky to have them in that game, esp vs the Giants.. if it happens
fiverings37 - January 15, 2012
Hate having to choose between the 49ers and Giants now.
That said, it’s clear: I am rooting for the 49ers. And rooting for the Ravens to win it all at this point.

And think about this: In this era of high-flying passers, that would give us a Super Bowl with Joe Flacco and Alex Smith. Oh, the irony.
kindablue - January 15, 2012
It may be a passing league now but..
defense STILL wins championships, and that ’s not gonna change for quite some time.
kwentin - January 15, 2012
B-more
nothing else to say…the boys WILL be back
Bermystar - January 15, 2012
+1
And I hope we’re all here enjoying it together. And I hope it’s next season.
VoldeMart - January 15, 2012
This season has been painful
So of course it would come to the Cowboys biggest rivals playing for the right to go to the SB. I thought i was over that last lost, but I’m back to being depressed. I hope JJ and the right of front office is feeling the same way.
djthumpl - January 15, 2012
Gaints are not bad
For a team with a inbred hilly billy QB, 2-3 terrorists in offense , an illegal immigrant who runs as if he is escaping border patrol and a guy conceived through and named after BJ.
CowboysinIndia - January 15, 2012
Uhhh..
Huh… Hmm.
BrickTop - January 15, 2012 via mobile
classy.

Go eat some curry
tommy d. - January 16, 2012
Mikellie - January 15, 2012
Love Rich Eisen describing Joe Flacco getting sacked.
He said Joe held onto the ball one mississippi too long.
Mikellie - January 15, 2012
It's comforting that the Packers didn't do any better than the Cowboys against the Giants.
I’m taking the Giants,as I did today, against the Niners. Eli is a big-time QB for certain. He’ll be the difference next week. Cowboys to the Super Bowl in 2013.
CowboyMan - January 15, 2012
Hate to do this, but go 49ers.
DCyanks21 - January 15, 2012
Oh no ..... not the Giants and Niners ... great just great
