Tom Brady is pretty awesome
Dear God.

Live in CT and thats all you hear. I’d prefer not to hear that on here again, thankyouverymuch!

Look at my response

I felt bad after I said it.

HAHAHHA

Thats funny, I dodn’t catch it was YOU that said Eew. Funny.

Maybe I'll try

didn’t

Hail Timmy full of grace………

Trying to get that comeback started already for Timmeh.

Saints.... Juggernuant for naught
Come on Tebow, f**k the Patriots.
Tebow's long windup came back to bite him

If that was Romo that would’ve been Tuck rule

If that was Romo Brady that would’ve been Tuck rule>

If it was Brady,

There would promptly be a new NFL rule made up to give him the ball back.

There was, against the Raiders in 2001 or 2002.

Ah yes, the game that ruined it all for Raider fans
Sarcasm, the lost art.

Not sure where there…..

ANOTHER rule.

Work with me here people.

If that was Romo

The announcers would be saying what a chokeologist he is.

This game was over before it started.

Pat’s in a cakewalk.

it also looked like a SF runaway win early ...

we can hope the Broncos have some kick left in them

Denver is no New Orleans.
Gronk is a beast !!!!
They have the best 2 tight ends in the game today.
Bil Belichick with 2 weeks will beat anyone.
Except

Apparently the Jets

In the Post-Season.
Yeah

i hate the Niners......screw that Saints D!
I hate both teams, but I think the whole who dat and Katrina thing

has run it’s coarse. Maybe everyone will shut up about it now.

we pretty much screwed from the NFC side.....its either Giants Niners or Packers Niners.....CRAP!
Think about this

The only good choice is the Ravens

what about Houston?
You think they can beat the Pats?

You have more faith than I

Idk, maybe. I'm currently hoping the Broncos can beat them and that's not looking good either.
Ugh, I hate New England.
Denvers D would have to play better than San Frans...not a good start

Gronk’s a freak and so are all his pornstar friends.

I'm rooting for the Giants.

I love the underdogs and at least it would be another win for the NFC East. They beat us twice, so they have to be really really good (sarcasm).

Just don't want the Packers there

However, even more so I don’t want the 49ers there winning #6. Either way, as long as it is the AFC that wins the super bowl I am cool with that.

Well...

I’ll be rooting for the AFC in this years super bowl. I hate all of the NFC teams that remain. Saints were the only team I didn’t mind being there…

Same
NFC all the way no matter who represents.
Yeah but there's no way

I’m ever rooting for the Gnits, the Pack or the 9ers. So….

I'll root for any of the NFC Teams

Over the AFC, unless the Texans make it. I can’t stand the Patriots and don’t particularly like the Ravens.

Te-eeebow aho ohh!!!!
Wow just wow. I had to go home and ff my DVR to watch the ending of Saints 49ers and charge my Iphone

I call that play from Alex Smith to Vernon Davis either “The Redemption or The Vindication!”

I'd say the Vernoncation.
Stick with the theme.

The Catch III.

How can an O-Line get flagged for UR?

Did you see Welker get laid out after the int.?
We need a TE#2 for this offense. Get one in the later rounds.
That's got to be like #12 on our list of needs.

Phillips is a decent TE.

What about Fred Davis?

Watching him this year he looked like what we wish Bennett would have been.

He's pretty good.

I wouldn’t mind having him on our team. I just think we have a lot of other needs that need to be addressed first.

No argument here

I like me some Jon Phillips! Just throwing it out there because I think Fred Davis played mighty well this season.

Phillips works for now.

The thought that Bennett may not be on the team much longer is already an improvement.
I would be ok with grabbing one later

too many needs elsewhere to justify a high pick in a TE

i said get one somewhere between rds 4-7
We need OL, DL, CB, LB first.

Then, maybe.

I agree
So I fanshotted this...

My buddy, a diehard Skins devotee, has said a rumor has surfaced that puts Peyton Manning and Jeff Saturday to the Skins for Fred Davis, the Skins 2012 2nd rounder and their 2013 1st rounder.

Whattya think?

Sell.

I hope they do it.

Gets them older, and hopefully drafting someone not named RG3

wow
...isn't Fred Davis a free agent?
Oh if he gave me BS info I'll be ticked.
lol and Jeff Saturday is a free agent

You’ve been had

BOOOOOO.

Guess thats why I’m no investigative reporter :)

just saw the second broncos fumble. wish dallas had defensive players who would gang tackle and strip the ball. doesn't matter that play was ruled dead. the hustle was awesome.
Lee can do that.
that's 1 guy
Play is turned up another notch in the playoffs.

New England’s defense didn’t play like that throughout the season.

I know thats the sad part :(

I was gonna say Ware, but he kinda goes without saying, and even then its only 2 guys.

yup
what the hell was brady looking at on that Int?
It looked like a receiver wasn't where he was supposed to be.
The new breed of TE's...Gronkowski
Gronk is Jason Witten on Barry Bonds' Balco Juice
guy in funny hat dancing

one of the Ryan brothers?

Ugh, then they show the Cheatriots bowl "wins".

god, I hate that team.

What would be funnier

Do the guys who wear the Patriot mascot head and the Cowboys mascot head hook up with chicks while wearing said head?

Of course they do.

If you had the opportunity, wouldn’t you?

hell yes!
that's why the option won't work in the NFL

too much talent on the defensive side

Quarterbacks would end up in the emergency room

By week five, too. That’s not good.

Tebow... impressive

took like 8 steps after a 350-lb DT was on his back

unfortunately it was 8 steps in the wrong direction
lol
hypothetical trade, would you guys do this

Jason Witten to the Ravens for Ed Dickson and their 2nd or 3rd pick?

No, JW is untouchable.
never

You don’t give up your core guys.

Romo, Witten, and Ware mean too much to this team. You keep your leaders together as long as you can

Unless you can get more value from them

Than what their future value would give you.

I’d take the Seahawks’ first rounder for Witten.

would Seahawks do that?

well, they did trade a 2nd rd pick for Charlie Whitehurst

They probably wouldn't

But there would be some trades I would take for Witten.

Who to trade and who not to

My opinion is that you keep your core, and your core are VERY few but important guys. Everyone else you use an economic efficiency argument. So Romo, Ware, Witten, there’s no reasonable trade you can offer me. Sean Lee might enter that list if he becomes the battlefield general of the defense like the Saints’ Vilma.

Felix? I’ll trade him. Doug Free? I’m listening. Miles Austin? Absolutely love him, but there’s a price.

The Patriots who are famous for trading guys employ this strategy, but even they keep their core together. There’s no price you can offer them for Tom Brady. Logan Mankins, a 29 year old guard would seemingly be a prime target to trade but instead they made him the highest paid guard in the league at $51 million because he’s one of their core guys.

I think you have to know who makes up the heart of your team and keep them together while shifting the pieces around them.

Fair points

I would definitely trade the following guys:
1) Felix
2) Free
3) Austin
4) Marty B
I would listen to a trade offer for the following guys:
1) Jenkins
2) Ratliff

I agree with that
If Miles can stay healthy, he is a pro bowl receiver.

And I don’t see anything wrong with the way Felix was playing the last 3-4 games.

you can't trade martyb, he's a FA
Gronk is a beast
When Brady's on?

He’s God.

New England playing this gimmic option team correctly

Harassing the Broncos runners, and putting a ton of points up on the board and force the Broncos to start throwing soon.

Cue the FAT LADY!
Turn Out The Lights!
Stick A Fork In Them!
Nevin Shapiro's got some former friends from DA U in the NFL Playoffs this year

1) Jonathan Vilma
2) Frank Gore
3) Willis McGahee
4) Andre Johnson
5) Vince Wilfork

So I guess Jesus hates Tebow now?
The climactic ending to his Disney movie "4th & God" happened last week.

This game is just the footnote mentioned before the fade to black and the credits roll.

I hate all gimmick QB's.
I do too. Mike Vick is also a gimmick QB

The now retired Kitna > Vick.

I'm in complete agreement with all of you
Nah.

Brady’s just in God Mode right now.

Nickovich might have more sacks today than Anthony Spencer had all season.
Holy shit

Are the Patriots going to go for the onside kickoff to get more points?

Awesome TD pass from Brady to Branch
Lot's of time left for Brady to get more points.
Where is your god now Tebow?

heh

His flight from San Francisco hasn't landed yet.
Who would have thought he would have chosen Alex Smith over Tebow?

guess Tebow aint so special

Urban Meyer has had an awesome few weeks this NFL post season

Both his QBs that went in the 1st rd in the NFL draft have won playoff games this yr

and now he's the Buckeye's coach

OH-IO!

Playing for New England…..

You have got to love an offense

that executes like that.

Your going to love our's next year then.
I didn't like Denvers gp

going to have to trust Tebow. He got them this far. way to much option. Pats allready handled that in the first gm. Too late now. It will take a huge God intervention miracle to win now. But hey, don’t forget the Buffalo Frank Reich gm!

I'm still trying to forget the Detroit game.
Don't remind me.
What happened to the Orange Crush?

OK Tebow will need 12 TDs in the 2nd half at the rate Brady is lightin’ it up

We crushed them in the Super Bowl that year.
My 38-10 prediction looks a little generous.
Go Giants.

……

I root for Giants and Redskins in the playoffs

Go deep, make our division look good, get a low draft pick.

Eagles… I just want to see them 8-8 every year so they can be a failure for their fans and not get any game-changing players.

………….

Have to pick one...I just don't want the Packers in it.

So I chose to root for a team in our division so that they fall further down the draft board.

Yeah, do we really want the Packers to become the next "dynasty"

and hear about how they’re as good as the 90s Cowboys?

If Reich can comeback from 31-0 and 28-3 the I'm sure Tebow can comeback from 35-7
Stranger things have happened
Frank Reich could actually play NFL QB
Go Cowboys

Next year, anyway.

GRONK HAT TRICK wow!
Boy vs Man looking at those first half numbers.

We’re in the playoffs?

Brady's going for 8 TD passes tonight
Tebow Time... let's go!
LOL LOL LOL
maybe not... how many TDs can Brady throw in 1 game?
only thing that could stop Brady tonite is a visit to Mannings Neck doctor
This is painfully reminding me of the Vikings playoff loss from 2009
That was so painful to watch
Dawkins is down too? Damn.
Are Gronkowski and Hernandez really TE's?

Seems to be the only reason they’re listed there instead of WR is their size. Neither seems to do much in the way of traditional TE duties beyond receiving (although I confess ignorance of most of New England’s games).

Mismatch for every team

Not even fair

they are both really athletic, big, and they block as well
42 points is enough... time to get some turnovers and beat up these receivers
no mercy in the playoffs

N.E. stuck a Wilfork in them. Keep the faith Timmy. You’ll be back.

as a spectator or coach
Patrick Chung a little to aggressive
They put up those stats but fail to mention

That its about making stop when you need too. Which all those teams did during the season. Even though it seemed to catch up to the Saints today

I thought Chung was hurt

Belichik is such a sandbagger

Anthony Spencer would've given up on that sack attempt
That boy going to get himself killed
The Patriots have finally won a playoff game

For the first time in almost four years. Against an 8-8 team. Let’s hope they lose to whoever they play next.

Somewhere Steelers fans are asking themselves

We lost to THIS team??

The Steelers were insanely arrogant against the Broncos
I know and it came back to slap them

as they watch the team they could’ve played thrash the team they lost to.

That all-out blitz with no safety help in overtime was a pathetic playcall

One of the worst play-calls I’ve seen this season.

Right up there with Rob Ryan's defensive playcalling against Philly on SNF
Patriots D isn't lacking talent. It's just really young at LB and secondary.

This is their coming out party. Belicheck is also getting ahead of the next trend in the NFL with all the rule changes to aid more offense:
1) go back to the 4-3 defense
2) get young athletic dbs and LBs
3) play less zone and more man coverage

uhuh

and if the fat albert experiment had worked they would probly be quite scary for the other playoff teams

We could look alot like N.E.s defense

with a few more pieces. But I wonder if JJ and JG would be willing to change to a 3-4 seeing how we just got RR & Henderson onboard. Lets see who wins the Lombardie

We'll switch back to 4-3 after Ware retires

So in about 4 yrs

I'm not sure that Ware isn't at least as good a DE as he is an OLB

How many times does he drop into coverage? 5% of the time?

I think the major impediment to making Dallas a 4-3 team is that we don’t have 3 true linebackers. We have Sean Lee and that’s it.

tru that

should have kept Barbie & Roy. lol

I actually agree Ware could be awesome as a 4-3 END

If you think about it, under Wade Phillips, we used 4-3 allignments in our nickle package. Ware and Spencer would line up as ends, with Ratliff and Spears lining up as DTs.

That was our base defense against passing teams if I’m not mistaken.

I would really think hard about selecting Vontaez Burfict

He’s not a criminal or thug. He’s just got to learn how to channel his aggression on the field, something Suggs had to learn.

Imagine this Ryan package:
1) Ware and Spencer/Butler on the line as ends;
2) Ratliff and Brent/Lissenmore as DTs
3) Carter, Lee, Burfict lineup as 4-3 LBs: Carter’s the Will, Lee’s the Mike, and Burfict is the Sam

The 4-3 argument held up better with Spencer

I do not see Butler succeeding at all in a 4-3.

The Cowboys are not in a position to transfer into a 4-3 now. Carter panning out is a huge leap of faith then you’d have to find another linebacker and another DE.

Quite frankly I think that Spencer is a better DE than an OLB and I hope he’s signed by a 4-3 team. With him gone, I believe the best course of action is to double-down on the 3-4 and try to find the best OLB possible (Bruce Irvin, Melvin Ingram) to make this scheme work.

Again I agree

just bringing up conversation starters

seems

He trying develop a strong 4 man rush to not have to blitz…to many qbs make you pay when you blitz now .

Whats sad, I think we could beat every team left in the playoffs

Oh well I guess its next year for us

We lost to every team on our schedule with a winning record, save for the win against SF.

I doubt we’d beat any of these playoff teams.

I'm glass half full guy

Maybe we make those plays in the end of the games that we couldn’t during the season, or maybe not.

This team is a year or two away from contending again.
LOL!

Thanks man, I needed a really good laugh this morning. Reading that made me spit up my cinnamon apple cheerios. I wonder if they go good with a 6 of bud light? I’ll have to ask our world class top 5 6th year starting QB who has won as many playoff games as Tiny Timmy. He’d probably know.

Billy is slapping Denver's defense in the face using Aaron Hernandez successfully as a RB against their D
They should just leave Tebow alone

and let him watch the master at work

Wow
Run the score up, thats what I do to kids in Madden lol
The Patriots will run it up
Don't like the other team scoring, play better defense

no one but themselves to blame here.

knock on wood, there's not a prayer's chance Denver comes back down 35 with 12 minutes left
Demarius Thomas was a good pick for Denver

If we couldn’t get Dez, I really wanted Thomas

Wasn't a fan and I'm still not a fan

I think Laurent Robinson is a better player than Demarius Thomas. Thomas’ status in 2011 were worse than Dez’ rookie season. And I think most of his big plays come from teams committing safeties to defend Denver’s run because they’ve had no respect for Tebow’s passing attack.

Thomas every bit as talented as Dez and Calvin
I wanted Devin McCourty if we couldnt land Dez

McCourty was my Cowboys pick. I actually didn’t have Dez on my Cowboys board because I didn’t think he’d make it out of the top-10.

My board was:
Iupati
Pouncey
McCourtey

Which

Round was Gronk drafted in

1st. Hernandez was a 2nd.
I though Hernandez was 4th?
Gronk was a 2nd round pick

Pick #42

Gronk was a 2nd rounder
Hernandez was a 4th rounder
Jimmy Graham was a 3rd rounder
Finley was a 3rd rounder

and we took Martellus Bennett in the 2nd

that is sad, what a waste
look at that list

we also found witten in the 3rd

you win some you lose some lol

Wasn't Jermichael Finley in the 2008 draft?
3rd round

But in fairness I don’t remember anyone predicting this level of success for him. I can hardly hold it against Dallas.

Anyone else think we should draft a TE in the 3rd or 4th?
I really want the kid from Temple or the kid from Louisiana Laffeyette
Ladarius Green, Brian Linthicum?
Over. officially I mean

Its was done from the word go, realistically.

This was The Year of The QB and The Year of The TE

Today:
1) 8 Tds scored by TEs: Gronk 3, Davis 2, Graham 2, Hernandez 2.
2) 14 TDs put up by QBs: Brady 6, Smith 4 (1 Rush Td), Brees 4.

I think Garrett deserves credit in being a bit ahead of his time

He believed in the 2TE offense. Unfortunately his GM gave him Marty B instead of Gronkowski.

agreed
What?

Look I hate Marty B too but Marty B was taken two years before Gronkowski. Jerry gave the team Sean Lee instead of Gronk. If you want to hate on Jerty at least be half way honest about it. Look, you win some and you lose some. That’s the way the draft works. But let’s not act like he chose Martellus Bennett over Gronkowski. They had a first round grade on Lee but a second on Gronkowski that year, yeah Bennett sucks but it’s not like they passed up a cant miss guy for him. Geez.
